Gundlach's single-stage, two roll crusher transformed how coal mines size product to meet market demands. It was the first crusher that in a single pass could economically break 50 mm coal to 19 mm pieces. The single-stage, two roll crusher was followed by the first two-stage, four roll crusher that could take run-of-mine coal and crush it to 19 mm size. To this day the Gundlach roll crusher design remains the only device to provide control over product size in all three dimensions. This 3-D crushing capability delivers higher quality product, less fines and consistently repeatable performance for coal, potash, salts, lime and other higher value minerals.

The Cage-Paktor cage mill reduces 100 mm feeds to 2 mm product. This economical impactor design needs no screens and crushes only the over-size material, saving on horsepower and energy use. Gundlach improved on the standard cage mill design by moving both drives to one side of the machine with a revolutionary shaft-within-a-shaft design. This feature leaves one side of the mill fully exposed for easy maintenance of the cages and the housing liners, the only wearing areas of the machine. Hours of drive removal, realignment, and set up time are thus eliminated.

Gundlach's Nanosiz-R Roll Mill is ideal for fine-grinding applications such as preparing limestone for mixing with coal to reduce the sulfur content of emissions. It's used in processing nitrogen, phosphate and potash and provides better control of the finished product size range. It produces less dust and generates little noise compared to other crushers in its class. Bi-Modal Crushing (Shear & Compression) provides the best solution for crushing friable materials. Multiple units can be used in series to achieve greater reduction ratios. High 40 tons per hour capacity.

Gundlach 1000 Series roll crushers and Accu-Grind roll crushers are used for on-line production sampling and in low tonnage size reduction applications. They can be employed in on-line continuous sampling and low to medium capacity crushing applications such as hot ash crushing.
